Elanco opens major strategic hub for its global operations in Poland

Warsaw, Poland (24.09.2019) Elanco Animal Health Incorporated (NYSE: ELAN) announced today that it has opened its Elanco Solutions Center (ESC) in Warsaw to provide global customer services and business solutions.

The creation of the ESC in Poland is a key step in Elanco´s journey to become a fully independent, dedicated animal health company. Warsaw was selected both for its deep business services talent and for its proximity to serve customers and employees in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Elanco will establish a satellite ESC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to support the Asia-Pacific market.

Serving as a global center of excellence, the ESC enables Elanco to develop efficient and cost-effective business services to support the company’s commitment to veterinarians, farmers, pet owners and those devoted to help animals live healthy lives around the world. Elanco’s Finance, HR, and IT Shared Service Centers will be based in the Warsaw ESC. In addition, the company plans to create new centers of excellence for areas like Audit, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and others, to better and more efficiently operate as a standalone company.

“The Elanco Solutions Center is an important part of our transformation journey,” said Jeff Simmons, president and CEO. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reimagine every aspect of our business and create processes, procedures and systems from the ground up. We choose Warsaw because Poland stands out as a European growth champion, its strategic location, and above all, the experience and quality of its business services professionals. Our expectations are proving true, with outstanding candidates applying for positions to join our growing team and reinvent how we serve customers and employees.”

Elanco’s Warsaw ESC is a continuation of Elanco’s history in Poland, which began in 1977. The ESC began operating in early August and will move to its permanent space in The Warsaw Hub, a modern and multifunctional business center at Rondo Daszyńskiego in the Wola district, in March 2020. The company expects it will employ 250 professionals in Poland by early 2020 as it increases its economic and social investment in Warsaw.

“We are proud of our diverse workforce and to be an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive environment built upon mutual understanding, value and respect,” said Simmons. “We are committed to empower our employees to meet our business and customer expectations, while we drive the development of the ESC and our people.”

The ESC is part of Elanco´s broader strategy to simplify processes and will help achieve its productivity, value-creation and independence objectives. In March 2019, Elanco announced its full divestiture from Eli Lilly and Company, its former parent company, and is now the second largest exclusively dedicated animal health company in the world. With 5,800 employees and brand presence in 90 different countries, Elanco emphasizes its Food and Companionship Enriching Life vision worldwide.
